The report reviews the obstacles to the realization of the right to equality that various vulnerable groups faced in 2024 and offers recommendations for agencies.

The document assesses the legislative amendments and laws adopted over the past year, as well as the abolition of mandatory quotas, a mechanism for the political empowerment of women. In addition, special attention is focused on discrimination on political grounds.

During the reporting period, the Public Defender examined 127 cases of alleged discrimination; prepared 7 recommendations and 4 general proposals on equality issues. In addition, in 2024, for the first time in the 10-year activity of the equality mechanism, the Public Defender concluded a settlement act in 2 cases.
